Soil & Ecosystem Ecologist, Ph.D.

I am a soil and ecosystem ecologist working with the Lien lab at the University of Arizona and Working Lands Conservation.
I received my PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2022 working in the Schweitzer lab at the University of Tennessee.
I lead interdisciplinary research evaluating carbon sequestration potential of riparian restoration practices in western
U.S. grazing systems, collaborating with scientists, conservation practitioners, and producers to generate
actionable guidance that informs USDA-NRCS policy and on-the-ground practice.
In addition to my current work, I have worked in a variety of ecosystems in and outside of the U.S., including Southern Appalachian forests, Midwest grasslands, Southwestern deserts, and tropical forests.
My work integrates field ecology, biogeochemistry, molecular tools, bioinformatics, and rigorous statistical analysis to advance applied soil health science and climate change mitigation.
